COVID 19 Protocol Update

  • The U.S Department of Health and Human Services, Public Health Emergency declared under the Public Health Services Act for Covid-19 ended on May 11, 2023.

    When students or staff test positive for COVID-19 during the 2023-2024 school year

    Cabell County Schools has developed the following COVID protocol based on the latest guidance from the West Virginia Department of Education.

    Students and staff who have tested positive for COVID 19 may return to school immediately if the following applies:

    Symptoms are improving, and they have been fever-free for 24 hours.  This must be without the use of fever-reducing medication.

    This protocol is subject to change at any time based on revised guidance provided by the West Virginia Department of Education.
