Art Teacher Leslee Smith Honored as Superhero for Dedication to Students

Huntington High School Art Teacher Leslee Smith has been recognized as the Superintendent’s Superhero for November. Often referred as the "Heart of Huntington High’s Art Department", Leslee always makes sure all art students can succeed in and outside of the classroom. Student Morgan Snyder said that Mrs. Smith has taught her life lessons on being an overall good person as well as the love for art.  Mrs. Smith is known to go above and beyond to make sure her Art students are recognized and rewarded for their talents and that they are given the opportunity to compete in contests locally and statewide. Her students are well-known for bringing victories to Huntington High’s Art department. Leslee also is the Art Club Advisor whose student members have the responsibility of decorating for Prom, face painting at Special Olympics, painting murals throughout Huntington High and many other projects that may arise during the school year.
